Yesterday was Becky's birthday and today is Louise and my dad's birthdays. Quite a busy birthday week. I am looking forward to the 3 day weekend and my trip back east. Jill and I are running the Scotland 10K on Saturday and celebrating my dad's birthday.
We got 2 thunderstorms last night one at 2 am and one at 4 am. Did not make for the best sleeping but did get some rain. I left the car out of the garage so it would get a shower and it will be great for all my new plantings in the yard. My strawberries are starting to perk up quite a bit. I thought they would be growing faster but they are doing okay. A picture of one of the plants below. Apparently, lettuce season is over. The guy at the nursery said its getting too hot for the lettuce and broccoli now. It is entering squash season. So, it will be time to plant cucumbers, watermelon and squash. He said the seedlings would be available at the end of the month. I am looking forward to that. He also said that the peppers and tomatoes will be good all year long. Maybe that means the tomato plants will perk up a bit, or I'll just replace them with new seedlings.
Hi Jen,
I am looking forward to warmth here in NJ ;) Also looking forward to visiting Bermuda.
Thanks for sharing :)
