So, I am headed to work this morning. Probably a little later than I would like but so be it. And the cars are lined up Trimingham Hill. I find this unusual as it isn't that close to 9. Traffic is slow all through town which is also unsusual. Then I notice that they have cut off one of the major arteries in town in order to re-paint the lines. Who shuts down a street and re-paints street lines during rush hour? Come on people. Isn't that something that could be done in the evening? Not too much traffic on a Tuesday evening around 9pm in town. Wouldn't that be smarter than 8am on a Wednesday morning?
So, the running has slowed down. Turns out my feet are pronated, one more than the other. The pronation has caused the IT band on one of my knees to rub across the band equaling lots of pain. So, after some ultrasound, stim, ice and massage I am going to try to get back out there with less pain. The marathon is 4 weeks away and I have done a lot of training for this. Kind of down today, just bummed that I have put in so much effort and now feel a bit defeated.
Melinda and i are back in Quito. Very little internet in the actual Galapagos. But the trip has been incredible. So many adventures and cool animals. I have take a bunch of pictures and will post them when i return to the office on Thursday. I really wanted to smuggle a sea lion back to Bermuda with me but i am afraid i won´t be able to get the correct work permit in time. Back to the real work in a couple more days.
