I totally have a frog in my throat. Not sure where this came from but very annoying considering the marathon is this weekend. Current forecast is 60 degrees with 40% chance of showers. That sounds like cloud cover to me which is ideal. But the sore throat keeps me up at night and I am tired today. If I don't feel any better after lunch, I am going to go home and take a nap. And I sound so pathetic that no one would question if I was actually sick or not.
Eagles beat the Redskins last night 27-17. Of course, Monday night football is late on the east coast and even later here. So, I watched the first half and went to bed with my fingers crossed. Now, gearing up for the Phillies to clean up on the Yankees. I wear my Phillies hat everywhere here. Philadelphia pride.
I looked at the 10 day forecast. 59 degrees with 60% chance of showers. I haven't run in the rain once the entire summer. Should be interesting. Hello blisters!
I can only assume it is work-related stress that is causing the myriad breakouts on my face. But I look in the mirror and I feel like someone who is in middle school. Ironically, my face wasn't this terrible in middle school. So, what gives? I don't know. But I did buy this face scrubby thing called Clarisonic. I am willing to give anything a try. It is made by the sonicare people who do the toothbrushes. They are selling it at Sephora.com and with a discount code FF2009, it is a little bit more reasonable. Just am getting annoyed with the face which is probably not good because the worry causes more issues with the face. Face catch 22. Annoying.
I apologize for being incommunicado over the past few days. Flew back from NYC late on Monday and have been recovering/catching up on work the past 2 days.
The trip to San Francisco was great. Had a really nice run on Thursday afternoon along the water. Everytime I visit I think to myself how much I would love to live there. I know they get earthquakes, but it such a great area. The city is awesome and has great views and a short drive over the bridge you hit Napa. Only drawback are those killer hills. But I would learn to love them and probably have extra fit legs!
Flew into NYC on Friday afternoon. Rehearsal dinner was at Public on Elizabeth St. The food was lovely and it was great to see everyone. Saturday morning, I had a brunch for Jill at Elizabeth restaurant. Figure it was a good idea to get some food in everyone before the evening's activities. The ceremony started at 5:30pm so we had some time. Originally the ceremony was to be outside but the temperature in NYC this past weekend was on the chilly and damp side. So, the ceremony was moved indoors where the reception and it turned out great. The reception was on the top floor of the Puck Building. It was a beautiful space and the food was very tasty.
My sister looked absolutely amazing. Her and Jeff looked very, very happy and everyone had a great time at their wedding. Congratulations guys! Can't believe I have a brother now.
