You know when you get a song in your head and you sing it all day. Well, thanks to Roy, the permanent song in my head is Whip It by Devo. A great classic from the 80s, it gets annoying the 17th day in a row when you leave the house singing it. A lot of Bermudians build cement walls around their properties. Some like to decorate the walls with little white stacks which mimic the roofs. This wall is right across the street from my house. When Roy and Tracey were in town, he looked at one and said, "hey, that looks like those hats from Devo, you know, 'Whip It!'" Ever since their visit, I often leave the house in the morning looking at this wall and start singing. Then the song is re-enforced on the ride home when I pull in the driveway and start up again. I guess there could be worse songs. "Whip it. Whip it good."
