When you live on a destination island yet have a normal life and work 5 days a week, you sometimes forget your surroundings. On Sunday, we celebrated the end of the house chores with lunch at Pompano Beach Club. A resort at the western side of the island, it is a quiet and intimate place with a gorgeous beach and wonderful views of the water. I took this snapshot on the walk to the restaurant.
Tonight, I think we all know what I and many others will be watching on TV. Election coverage. I usually find election coverage kind of annoying with the anchors trying to tell you who won before it is decisively clear. Maybe this year as I am out of the country, the answer will be to watch this from a bar with a beer in hand. I will also be packing tonight for my work trip to the left coast of the US- San Fran. It has been a few years since I was there and I am looking forward to a change in scenery. Then this weekend, I am headed to the big dash, Winston-Salem, for WFU's Homecoming and my 10 year reunion. I am really looking forward to seeing all my friends and some friends I haven't seen in some time. Busy couple of days ahead, so it might be quiet around these parts for a while.
